Collection: ✅ COMMERCIAL BUILDING WINDOW BRUSHES

When cleaning COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS,. there are many considerations to choose the best (fastest and safest) tool for the task.  Usually commercial buildings have 1-3 different sized windows replicated over an entire worksite, making calculated efficiency a very rewarding task.

Commercial Windows are, for the best part, larger  albeit occasionally you will find an architectural nightmare with small windows added for building 'aesthetics' . This collection is focused on RADIAL BRUSHES for LARGER WINDOWS.

The key to efficiency is to 'do less work' - that means the brush should travel less distance or require less force to clean the window.

SIZING YOUR BRUSH :

Choosing a brush for maximum efficiency means sizing the brush to 'over 50% the width of the window"  - your cleaning action is 'follow the left frame, follow the right frame, overlap in the middle' .  Assuming a 'straight pull' cleaning action, with attention to the top edge with the angled brush (if needed), the logic of reducing from 3 to 2 sets of cleaning actions is already a 33% saving (or you are 50% slower using the smaller brush!)   Our commercial brushes range from 18" to 26" wide.

MATCH AGITATION TO DEBRIS :

Now we have sized the brush to travel the shortest distance, we address the 'use less force'.  Determining the debris to be removed from the glass will help you choose the right AGITATOR.  Standard Water Fed brushes are NYLON BRISTLES set at an angle to 'flick' dust and dirt off the glass - this is where RADIAL LITE is ideal.

If the debris is non-water-soluble, or slowly breaks down when wet, a NYLON BRISTLE BRUSH might take 4-10 actions before the window is clean.  Our target is 2-3 actions only.  To achieve this, we add different SCRUBS in the center of the brush so your AGITATION effect is maximized in your normal water fed cleaning action.  Check out all our SCRUBS and you will see we have metallic SCRUBS that are all 'scrape' type agitation for cooked-on dirt, artillery fungus, fly poo, paint overspray, etc.  Non-metallic 'scrape' SCRUBS are Non-Scratch- Pad, and Carborundum SCRUBS .

If the debris is non-water-soluble AND greasy or sticky, then you go to to the 'grab' type SCRUBS.  Magic Eraser, TOMCAT, and Green Rubber and Silicon Bristles are all varied levels of surface friction that really get debris like Bee Poo, Sticker Residue and the likes off.

The most versatile brush for general window cleaning is probably RADIAL BEAST LITE with 100% BOARS HAIR. This is an all-bristle brush (no SCRUBS) with a higher friction coefficient than NYLON, but not as powerful as the SCRUBS in most situations.

Finally the HYDROCARBONS from Industry, Main Roads, BBQ's and Fingerprints are best broken down with detergent and our MicroFiber SCRUB.

ON-GLASS-RINSE :

The third aspect of efficiency is the combining of two steps into one - and this is the most rewarding on every job.  Using any RADIAL BRUSH, you AGITATE on the UPSTROKE and RINSE on the down-stroke - there is NO SECONDARY RINSE ACTION required.  As rinse typically takes more time than agitation, this technique can return a 4X FASTER result all day, every day.

CLEANING AT EXTREME HEIGHTS :

When cleaning at 4 stories and above, the dynamics of the pole and the brush change.

Most importantly, you need a wide brush for lateral stability so there is no risk of the brush 'flipping'.

This lateral stability is also vital for pole control if you are cleaning on a windy day.  The problem with wider brushes is they used to weigh too much to maintain control - that is why we made LITE and ULTRA-LITE - a 22" ULTRA-LITE brush would weigh less than a 12" TUCKER style brush.

The third reason for using wider brush is safety and control on the edge of a glass clad building  - to clean to the edge, your brush must hang over the edge. This gets hard to be accurate over 4 stories and 5" over with a 12" brush and you will lose the pole. Compare that to 10" over with a 22" brush, and you get our meaning.

When  you are cleaning extreme height windows over 4 stories, lifting the brush off the glass to cross over frames becomes a physical challenge. 'Bouncing' the brush is a far safer and more efficient method. To do this, you push against the pole, sending a flex wave up the pole, and when the flex wave gets to the brush, you can effortlessly lift and move the brush over even the biggest frames.  The lighter the brush, the higher the bounce!

WHICH BRUSH :

RADIAL ROCKER SERIES :  This is a HYBRID AGITATION tool with bristles that 'flick the dirt' and SCRUB PADS with aggressive agitation running PARALLEL to glass surface 'scraping' and 'grabbing' the difficult debris off the glass in the same normal strokes you would use with q Tucker style brush.  ROCKER has the largest range of SCRUBS (compared to ULTRA-LITE).

DEEP-FRAME ROCKER SERIES : The same as RADIAL ROCKER but without the Circular Pattern of bristles in the endcaps.  If the windows are in typically commercial facilities, fine attention to the corners is not required by the property manager and this opens up the ability to use the faster 'STRAIGHT PULL' method without the swivel.

RADIAL LITE SERIES :  These are 'all bristle' brushes which are ideal for removal of dust and dirt, however not ideal for debris that does not easily come off the glass with bristles and water.  The option is there to go with BOARS HAIR for higher friction on the glass.

RADIAL ULTRA-LITE SERIES : This is the 'HARMONIC' of all the REACH-iT INNOVATION - radial bristles, radial jetstreams, stainless swivel, Highest quality bristles, and a SCRUB PAD for added aggression in the AGITATION function.  These SCRUBS (we call them SCRUBBIES) are thin, however do not be fooled - PRESSURE is defined by FORCE X AREA and with the smaller area, your force is multiplied.
