LITE brushes are available with 100% NYLON BRISTLE and 100% BOARS HAIR BRISTLE.
Remember all bristles are replaceable and interchangeable with NYLON and BOARS HAIR for the same style brush.
We do not promote HYBRID NYLON/ BOARS HAIR brushes because it is not a sound design for maximum efficiency. If you feel differently, we do have a RADIAL HYBRID brush. The reason is in the very structure of the bristle and how it has efficacy to clean glass. NYLON BRISTLES are molten plastic extruded through fine holes in a mold. The sides of the bristles are perfectly smooth and offer no agitation benefit. It is the TIPS OF THE BRISTLES that give incredible 'flick' agitation - they are firm and stiff, so when set at the correct angle (35-45º to the glass surface) they are extremely effective at flicking dirt and dust into the rinse water.
BOARS HAIR is the opposite - the sides of the bristles are rough not smooth, while the tips are weak. Boars hair absorbs 30% of its own weight in water after 3 minutes submersion. This makes the bristle soft and flexible so they behave more like paint brush bristles, exposing the sides of the bristles to the glass, and with the higher friction (drag) co-efficient, they 'grab' debris that is more 'stuck' or 'cooked' on the glass. Typically, if you see fine lines in the dirt on the glass from NYLON BRISTLES, you are better to use either BOARS HAIR BRISTLES or a HYBRID AGITATION Brush like ULTRA-LITE or ROCKER.
The other category that has come into the market is the 'synthetic boars hair' brush with 'GLIDE' labelling. This category is under review as the bristles are also molten plastic pushed through mold, then crinkled and colored to look like BOARS HAIR. They do not absorb water so they do not get soft, rendering them a 'cheaper' cost of manufacturing with a similar marketing strategy as BEYOND MEAT and the ineffective WALNUT SCRUB PADS. We would recommend caution with choosing these style brushes - they may be 'all marketing' with no increased efficiency. This is an opinion at this point, open for review.
LITE is a cut-down version of our flagship RADIAL BRUSH with 4 rows of bristles compared to 7 rows of bristles, meaning it is not as strong as RADIAL BRUSH, but extremely effective at regular cleaning, and windows that are covered in water soluble dust and dirt.
LITE is available in both NYLON and BOARS HAIR, in 14" and 18".
If you want aggressive AGITATION, the ROCKER Brushes have the ability to remove non-soluble debris like paint-overspray, fly-poo and artillery fungus with the metallic SCRUBS and the ULTRA-LITE Brushes have SCRUB PADS in the center of the brush that 'grab' more aggressively than BOARS HAIR.
