DÉTAILS

Reach-iT FLOW and TEMPERATURE GAUGE.

By switching the lever on the back of FLOW RED  to 'OFF', you can measure the water pressure at spigot.

By switching the lever on the back of FLOW RED to 'ON', you can measure the operating pressure.

Temperature seriously affects the performance of all RO MEMBRANES - with inlet water temperature  at 75 degrees F (Factory rating conditions)(25C), an RO performs DOUBLE the pure water production compared to when inlet water temperature is 39 degrees F (6C).

This is particularly important when starting Window Cleaning again in Spring - the ground temperature might be close to 30 degrees (and our water supply comes from underground), even if the nice Spring day is 60 degrees, so you will understand why the flowrate is not as good as you remember at the end of the fall season (applicable in cold areas).

If applicable, overcome this temperature induced flowrate issue with a BOOSTER PUMP.

I like that. It tells you incoming water temperature for better results for RO

FAQ

Why does my REACH-iT RO system make less pure water in early spring?

Water temperature changes RO output a lot. At 75°F / 24°C inlet water an RO makes about double the pure water it makes at 39°F / 4°C. In spring the ground water can still be near freezing even on a warm day. A booster pump (the REACH-iT PUMP for FLOW BLUE, or FLOW GOLD's built-in booster) raises the pressure to make up for it. The FLOW Pressure and Temperature Gauge shows your inlet water temperature.

How do I read water pressure on the REACH-iT FLOW RED+ gauge?

Switch the lever on the back of FLOW RED+ to OFF to read the water pressure at the tap. Switch it to ON to read the operating pressure. The gauge also shows water temperature, which matters because cold water cuts RO output by up to half.

What does the REACH-iT FLOW Pressure and Temperature Gauge do?

It shows water pressure and water temperature on a FLOW RED / FLOW RED+. With the lever on the back set to OFF it reads tap pressure; set to ON it reads operating pressure. Temperature matters: an RO makes about double the pure water at 75°F / 24°C as at 39°F / 4°C. The FLOW RED+ replacement is part FR23-01, with a 12 mm threaded pushfit.
