These are the filters we use in FLOW RED+, a high-flow sediment filter, and loose, granulated, activated carbon for high flow rate.
Schedule to change these filters monthly on the first day of each month to protect your RO'S from chlorine damage.
The symptom of chlorine damage is the TDS of RO OUT starts to increase. Extreme chlorine damage will result in TDS OUT being 20% of TDS IN, or higher. This MAY STILL BE USEABLE for window cleaning - as long as your cost of DI is affordable, there is no great need to change out (worst case scenario).

Which membranes and filters does the REACH-iT FLOW GOLD use?
FLOW GOLD uses twin 4021 RO membranes: the 4021 RO membranes for FLOW RED/GOLD fit. For pre-filters, use the FLOW Pre-Filter 6-Pack in the FLOW RED/GOLD versions: 10 micron sediment, GAC carbon, or a mixed box. Change the pre-filters monthly.
Which filters does the REACH-iT FLOW RED+ use and how often should I change them?
FLOW RED+ uses a 10" / 25.4 cm sediment filter (FR-18) and a 10" / 25.4 cm carbon filter (FR-19), also sold as the FLOW Pre-Filter 6-Pack: 10 micron sediment, granulated activated carbon, or a mixed box. Change them every month, on the first day of the month, to protect the RO membranes from chlorine damage. The clear housings let you see filter wear.
How do I know if chlorine has damaged the membranes in my REACH-iT FLOW RED+ or FLOW GOLD?
Watch the RO OUT reading on the dual TDS meter. If it starts to rise, chlorine may be damaging the membranes, usually because the carbon pre-filter wasn't changed in time. Even badly damaged membranes (RO OUT at 20% of RO IN or higher) may still be usable for window cleaning, as long as your DI resin cost stays affordable.
