Is the REACH-iT SOLAR ROCKER safe on solar panels with anti-reflective coating (ARC)?
Yes, with the SILICON scrub. ARC panels have a matte look, less reflective than plain glass, and the coating is easily damaged by aggressive brushes or scrubs, which can lead to hot spots on the cells. The SILICON scrub is soft but grippy, grabs dirt without dragging grit across the panel, and is in the box with every SOLAR ROCKER. Use the more aggressive scrubs only where the silicon won't shift the dirt. Extra SILICON BRISTLES scrubs are sold in packs of 2.
Which brushes do the REACH-iT SCRUBS for RADIAL ROCKER, SOLAR ROCKER and DEEP-FRAME ROCKER fit, and how many come in a pack?
They fit the RADIAL ROCKER 14" and 18", DEEP-FRAME ROCKER 12.5", 16.5", 22" and 26", SOLAR ROCKER 16.5", 22" and 26", and ROCKER LITE MAX 26": choose your brush and size on the product page. Most types come 9 to a pack (TOM CAT, carborundum, non-scratch, stainless wool, bronze wool, stainless mesh, blue metal, microfiber). Green rubber and magic eraser come 4 to a pack, silicon bristles 2. ULTRA-LITE and FRENCH PANES brushes use the smaller SCRUBBIES instead.
Are REACH-iT ROCKER brush scrubs single-use?
No. Every scrub attaches to a double-hook Velcro base plate on the ROCKER block, so you can take it off, swap it for another type to match the dirt, and reuse it. Rinse grab-type scrubs like microfiber often, because they can trap sand.
Will it fit my brush?
Pick your tool and size at the top. Only the scrubs that fit that brush show, and the green tick confirms the fit. REACH-iT has two scrub ranges: one for RADIAL ROCKER, SOLAR ROCKER and DEEP-FRAME ROCKER, and one for ULTRA-LITE, G-FORCE, E-FORCE and FRENCH PANE. Not sure? Which scrub should I use?
Match the scrub to the dirt:
- Non-scratch (orange): the everyday scrub for most window cleaners, and safe on most frames too. The aluminum oxide grit is very fine and set in soft fibers, so it won't scratch glass. For scale: walnut scrub is 3.5 on the hardness scale, glass about 6.5, carborundum 9.0.
- Stainless steel wool / bronze wool: aggressive scrape for very dirty glass. The strands run parallel to the glass and act like blades. They don't rust, so they won't stain.
- Stainless mesh ("the cheesegrater"): scrapes caked-on dirt, artillery fungus, paint overspray and sticker residue.
- Blue metal: sharper than stainless mesh. Very aggressive.
- Microfiber: grabs dirt. Best for petrochemical pollution, with a squirt of non-streaking detergent. It can trap sand, so rinse it often.
- Green rubber: a grabber, not a scraper, and it flushes sand out. The pick for bee mess and the waxy residue under it.
- Magic eraser: silicone and sticker residue. Expect a few more passes.
- Silicon: an everyday grab scrub. It squeaks as it cleans.
- TOM CAT: a grab-style scrub for bee mess and the waxy residue under it. Tom Hay, a window cleaner in Perth, Australia, found it after testing material after material. It eats bee poo.
- Carborundum: our most aggressive pad. Silicon carbide (hardness 9.0) cuts tough debris off glass (hardness about 6.5). It won't scratch real glass because the foam backing gives under pressure and the pad is large. Use it on real glass only.

Stainless mesh ("the cheesegrater") scrapes paint overspray, caked-on dirt and sticker residue. For the toughest bonded debris, step up to carborundum, on real glass only. Treated glass (like E-Glass and clear polymer panels) can scratch with any abrasive scrub. Test a small area first.
